Today's trail treat was a when we surprised a red-tailed hawk from beside the path. It was apparently hunting...perhaps one of the numerous squirrels along there. It flew a short distance and perched in a tree close to where we passed.

This is forecast to be the warmest day of the week so I got in some extra miles calling it at 10.
