On another dreary day in the woods, I took time to notice one of several vestigial fence posts from a time when the land was privately farmed. Much of it was owned by the cement plants (Northwestern was founded in 1906 and Lehigh in 1910) that worked the area quarries for the limestone. So it's of no surprise that many of the fence-lines were made with concrete posts! There are old posts in many different areas of what is now the Lime Creek Park.
Got in another 6 miles today for a 52 mile week.
