A very calm wind today and mediocre temps meant for pleasant conditions to be in the woods. Saw plenty of deer and could hear for miles (it seemed).
I took time to trim up the sucker growth from the underbrush that I cleared last summer to allow a clear view of the river from one of the trail-side benches.
I crossed paths with Jeanne McCurnin and took time to visit. Then hit the ancillary trails around the quarry to be sure to get in 10 miles.
